Kyoto Station to Kyoto by the Sea picture walkthrough
Start at Kyoto Station’s main entrance
Kyoto Station’s main entrance is on the Kyoto Tower side (Kyoto Tower will be visible from this entrance. It is behind the photographer in this picture.)
2. Next, enter the main lobby area and go to the ticket room/booth (located on the left side when entering Kyoto Station from the main entrance)
3. Enter the ticketing room/booth and purchase a ticket for your destination within Kyoto by the Sea. This is the best method for traveling to our area as some trains to our area require reserved seating.
4. With your ticket, you can now go through the ticket gate (main lobby area) and head to the right once through the gate.
5. Continue straight down the corridor towards platforms 31, 32, and 33.
6. Head to platform 31
JR train ticket: car 3 (left circle), aisle 6, seat D (right circle)
7. The limited express trains bound for Kyoto by the Sea are the “Kinosaki” and “Hashidate”. If you needed a reserved seat, the ticket will list the car number, aisle number, and seat letter.
