Local fresh fish served every which way

There is no need for the chefs at Terikichi to dress up their seafood. This is a culinary inn committed to delivering the freshest local fish and crabs in Tango to their guests. Terikichi has decade’s long repeat customers that come, not just during the winter crab season, but year round to dine at this inn. For spring, Terikichi is introducing a Tango Spring Course meal for people who are just day-tripping in the area, but still want to dine at Terikichi. The meal they have decided on includes sea bream, shrimp, seven kinds of sashimi, and seaperch served either simmered or baked. In addition, if there are crabs or other daily specials (depending on local catches to ensure freshness), they can be added to the meal. The number of options for this course are innumerable. But you can be sure that only “real” fish caught in the coastal waters of the Japan Sea will be included in this one of a kind course meal.

The proprietress of Terikichi overseas the fish that I purchase as a fishmonger of the Asamogawa fishing port. It’s a team effort, with all of the staff working hard to provide the quintessential taste of the area. Customers have various preferences as to how they like their fish prepared and we like to accommodate those tastes. This leaves the kitchen a little unorderly, but we want visitors to leave fully satisfied. In the spring, the town of Amino has crabs and delicious fish like blowfish and sea bream, so please come and try our seasonal spring course.
